Keep a Secret in detail
Keep a Secret is a kind way to hear honest opinions from the people around you. Every message first goes through filters that stop insults, links and phone numbers, and that hold threats, sexual content or self-harm content for review before it can reach you. You stay in control: pause your box, add words you never want to see, block senders, or delete your account and every message for good at any time. We never show who sent a message; we only keep a one-way hashed technical fingerprint for 90 days to prevent abuse and enforce blocks.

- Friends write to you without an account, and their identity is never shown to you.
- Read them in your inbox, favourite them, reply, and share your answer as a 1080×1920 story image.
- Block any annoying sender or report an abusive message — our moderators review every report.
Frequently asked questions
Can the box owner find out who sent a message?
No. We never show a name, IP address or device to any user. We keep only a one-way hashed fingerprint to enforce blocks and fight abuse, deleted after 90 days.
Do I need an account to send a message?
No — just open the person's link and write. An account is only needed to receive messages.
What is the minimum age?
You must be 16 or older to create a box.
Why didn't my message arrive?
The owner may have paused their box, your message may have contained links or offensive words, or it may be held for review. To prevent spam there are limits on how many messages one sender can send.
What happens when I report a message?
It goes to our moderation team, who can hide it, ban its sender across the whole site, or suspend accounts that break the rules.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Delete account. All your messages are deleted immediately; you can download a JSON copy of your data first.
