Rich Text Formatter for WhatsApp, Telegram & Social
Write and format as in a normal editor and pick the platform at the top: the formatting is converted to each app's exact syntax when you copy, with a live preview and a character counter.
- Free, no sign-up
- Your text never leaves your device
- Draft autosave
Unicode "fancy" bold, italic and monospace do not work on Arabic letters and are read badly by screen readers. Use them for Latin text only, or choose WhatsApp/Telegram for real formatting.
Editor
The "ㅤ⎵" button inserts the invisible character U+3164 — for more blank characters use the Blank Text tool.
The draft is saved in your browser only (localStorage) and never sent to a server.
How it works
- Choose where you will paste from the menu at the top: WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, Slack, Markdown, HTML, SMS, or Unicode styles for Instagram, X, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok.
- Type in the editor, select words and press Bold, Italic, Strikethrough, Underline, Code, Quote or a list. The editor keeps the formatting neutral and never types symbols into your text.
- On copy, the formatting becomes the platform's exact syntax: WhatsApp *bold*, _italic_, ~strike~; Telegram **bold**, __italic__, ||spoiler||; Discord __underline__. Styles a platform does not support are copied as plain text and flagged with a warning chip.
- Check the preview that mimics the chat bubble and the counter: visible characters (an emoji counts as one), UTF-16 length, words, lines and SMS parts against the platform limit.
- Press Copy and paste into the app, or open WhatsApp or Telegram directly with the text ready. The draft autosaves in your browser.
Frequently asked questions
Why does Unicode bold not work on Arabic text?
Unicode "fancy" text uses special mathematical Latin letters (like 𝐀); Arabic letters have no such versions, so Arabic stays plain. For real Arabic formatting use WhatsApp or Telegram, where *bold* works in every language.
Does fancy Unicode text hurt accessibility?
Yes. Screen readers may read mathematical letters one by one or skip them, and search engines may not understand them. Use them sparingly for short headings only.
How are SMS characters counted?
A message in the basic Latin alphabet (GSM-7) fits 160 characters, or 153 per part when split. Any Arabic letter or emoji switches it to UCS-2: 70 characters for one message and 67 per part.
Is my text sent to your server?
No. Conversion, counting and preview run entirely in your browser, and the draft is stored in localStorage on your device only. Your text is never sent to analytics either.
Does WhatsApp support lists and quotes?
Yes. Since 2024 WhatsApp supports bulleted (- or *) and numbered (1.) lists, quotes (>) and inline code (`). Old app versions may not render them.
